First post!

I'd like to recommend a book that I've read three-four times: "Companions of the Night" by Vivian Vande Velde, who, by the way, is an excellent writer of science fiction fantasy, so anyone who loves that genre should definitely check her out.

Companions of the Night is basically about a teenage girl's encounter with a charming and unpredictable vampire. What I like about this novel is that it isn't completely obssessed with all the technical details that you'll find in other science fiction novels, and it clears up some common myths about vampires (like the ones on Buffy).

You don't have to be a fan of vampires and science fiction to love this book. It has romance, suspence and action.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me. If you've already read the book, comment!
